- Fresh lemon slices, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare Peaches: Wash 3-4 peaches and remove the pits. You can leave the skin on or peel them according to your preference. Dice the peaches into small pieces.
- Cook Peach Syrup: In a saucepan, combine the diced peaches, 1 cup granulated sugar, and ½ cup water. Cook over medium heat for about 8 minutes until the peaches become soft, syrupy, and the sugar is fully dissolved and bubbling.
- Blend Peach Mixture: Remove the saucepan from the heat. Carefully transfer the peach mixture to a blender or food processor. Secure the lid and cover with a kitchen towel before blending until smooth. Optionally, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove solids. Allow the syrup to cool to room temperature or chill it in the refrigerator until ready to use.
- Mix Lemonade: When ready to serve, combine the peach syrup, 1 cup fresh lemon juice, 4 cups cold water, and ice in a large pitcher. Stir well to mix all ingredients.
- Garnish and Serve: Add fresh peach slices and fresh lemon slices to the pitcher for garnish. Serve chilled and enjoy your refreshing peach lemonade.
Notes
- You can peel the peaches if you prefer a smoother syrup without the skin texture.
- Straining the syrup through a fine mesh sieve is optional but will create a clearer lemonade without peach pulp.
- Adjust sugar quantity based on the sweetness of the peaches and personal taste preferences.
- Freshly squeezed lemon juice is recommended for the best flavor, but bottled lemon juice can be used in a pinch.
- This lemonade is best served immediately but can be refrigerated for up to 2 days.
