Scale
Base Ingredients
- 15.25 ounce box of white cake mix
- 2 large eggs
- ⅓ cup clear soda (like lemon-lime soda, Ginger-Ale, or club soda)
- Optional: red or green food coloring
Mix-ins and Garnishes
- ¾ cup red and green M&Ms
- ½ cup white chocolate chips
- Optional: sprinkles for decorating
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line two sheet pans with parchment paper to prevent sticking during baking.
- Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the white cake mix, eggs, clear soda, and if desired, add a few drops of red or green food coloring. Stir thoroughly until the batter is fully blended.
- Add Mix-ins: Gently fold the red and green M&Ms and white chocolate chips into the batter to evenly distribute the festive additions.
- Scoop Cookies: Using a 2-inch cookie scoop, place batter dollops onto the prepared sheet pans, making sure to leave about 2 inches of space between each cookie. Optionally, sprinkle the tops with festive sprinkles.
- Bake Cookies: Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until the centers set and the edges begin to turn a light golden brown.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the cookies to cool on the sheet pans for about 10 minutes or until they release easily. Transfer to a plate and serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- To keep cookies fresh, store them in an airtight container on the countertop for up to 5 days.
- For longer storage, freeze cookies in a freezer-safe container or Ziploc bag for 2-3 months.
- Use parchment paper to make clean removal and easy cleanup simple.
- Red or green food coloring is optional but adds a festive touch to the batter.
- Be sure to leave enough space between cookie scoops to avoid spreading into each other.
- Use a 2-inch cookie scoop for uniform cookie sizes that bake evenly.
