Description

Christmas Crunch is a festive, sweet and salty popcorn treat loaded with colorful Mini M&M’s, Peanut M&M’s, red and green sprinkles, and crunchy pretzels, all coated in a luscious white chocolate and marshmallow butter mixture. Popcorn Base

  • 2 bags microwave popcorn (about 10 cups popped)

Add-Ins

  • Mini M&M’s Candy Red & Green, 1 cup
  • Peanut M&M’s Candy Red & Green, 1 cup
  • Sprinkles Red & Green, 1/2 cup
  • 1 cup pretzels, broken in half

Marshmallow White Chocolate Mixture

  • ¾ cup white chocolate candy melts
  • 6 tablespoons salted butter
  • 3 cups mini marshmallows


Instructions

  1. Prepare the Baking Sheet: Line an 11 x 17-inch baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Pop the Popcorn: Microwave the 2 bags of popcorn according to package directions, ensuring about 10 cups of popped popcorn.
  3. Spread Popcorn: Spread the popped popcorn evenly over the prepared parchment-lined baking sheet and set aside.
  4. Melt Butter and Mix Marshmallows and White Chocolate: In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the salted butter. Add mini marshmallows and white chocolate candy melts to the butter. Stir continuously until everything is melted smoothly with no lumps. Remove from heat.
  5. Coat Popcorn First Layer: Pour three-quarters of the marshmallow and white chocolate mixture over the popcorn. Toss gently but thoroughly to coat the popcorn evenly.
  6. Add Remaining Mixture and Toppings: Pour the remaining marshmallow mixture over the coated popcorn. Immediately sprinkle the Mini M&M’s candy, Peanut M&M’s candy, red and green sprinkles, and broken pretzels evenly over the top.
  7. Cool Completely: Allow the Christmas Crunch to cool completely at room temperature to let the coating set and become crisp before serving.
